Hello Technet Forms, I am having some trouble getting Lync for MAC 2011 working with my new Skype for Business Server 2015 deployment. To give some background I am currently performing a swing migration from Lync Server 2013 to Skype for Business Server 2015. Currently Lync for MAC 2011 clients connect to my Lync Server 2013 without issues or I should say little issue. The existing Lync deployment was setup using our internal CA for internal services and trusted third party CA’s for external services. For the Lync for MAC 2011 client to work I have to install our internal subordinate CA certificate chain onto the MAC’s for it to trust the certificate presented. For my new Skype for Business Server 2015 deployment we opted to use trusted third party CA’s for both the internal and external services.

While a more expensive option the thought being with trusted third party CA’s on our internal services it would eliminate having to do an extra steps on the MAC’s. The theory being once we migrate users to the new server pool on Skype for Business Server 2015 they would just work. However, so far that does not seem to be the case from my testting. Either I am missing something with the Lync for MAC 2011 client or it is just not compatible with Skype for Business Server 2015.
