To consolidate desktop clutter (i.e. To get to one keyboard/mouse on my desk) I connected all three of my displays to my primary workstation and am using remote desktop to operate my secondary workstation using full screen resolution on one of the displays. This works great except for one minor issue - when I launch the remote desktop session it always starts itself on the rightmost display so I each time i launch the session I have to move it to the monitor I want to see it on. Is there any way to configure a remote desktop connection to start on a specific part of my client desktop, i.e. to define which of my physical displays the session should run on? Hi Brit53, Welcome to Microsoft Answers. Multiple monitor support for Remote Desktop Services allows users to open a Remote Desktop connection expanded across all the monitors on the client computer regardless of the client monitor configuration. With this feature, the user can fully utilize all the monitors connected to the client computer for the Remote Desktop connection thereby providing extra desktop space and an almost seamless experience with the client desktop that is much improved over “Span mode”.
