It's a great solution for Mac. I have a new MacBook Pro (MBP) with Maverick. I think it is a very good machine but I am an old Windows person so there is somewhat of a learning curve. My work LAN is powered by Novell Netware. While I am able to get the MBP to connect to Novell server, the only way I've been able to see drives and files is using Windows Explorer.
